Synopsis: Meira is an orphan that was taken from her parents sixteen years ago, when the kingdom of Winter fell to the power of Angra, the king of Spring. The Winterians were enslaved and only very few made it out, Meira being one of them.
She has trained to be a warrior along with her best friend Mather, the future King of Winter, whom she is desperately in love with. So whenever the chance arises to take back Winters lost conduit, the source that can return their magic they lost during the war, Meira goes after it. Finally she is where she has always wanted to be, scaling walls and fighting enemy soldiers. But it goes horribly wrong, and Meira is thrown into the world of princes, evil magic, and dangerous politics. Meira comes to the realization that her destiny is something she never thought it would be, and it is not her own.
Review: This book was absolutely amazing. I fell in love with it from the very beginning and I could not put it down. The writing was beautiful and hilarious and I loved all of the characters and everything about them. I thought that the way the author wrote was brilliant and I loved every second of reading this novel. I cannot wait to read Ice Like Fire, the next novel in this series.
I give this novel 5/5 stars and would highly recommend it to fans of fantasy novels.
